// bio
Originating in Ireland but currently based in Berlin, I am a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and sound designer, holding a degree from Trinity College Dublin in Music and Philosophy, where I specialised in music technology. My work is experimental in its approach, yet is presented in a way that makes it accessible and familiar, fusing the gap between the avant-garde and the popular. My creative output in sound encompasses a plethora of styles, including electronic music, contemporary classical composition, jazz and psychedelia. I released my debut album, ‘Traipsing About’ in September 2020, fusing the main avenues of my creative expression in sound. Improvisation plays a key role in every facet of my artistic output, be that sonic, visual or poetic work. My greatest source of inspiration comes through spontaneous creativity, by being present in the moment and allowing the art to create itself. By taking insignificant, almost imperceptible details of our surroundings, I create both audio and visual worlds by zooming into these tiny details, and maximising their inherent characteristics. Manipulating the results using new technologies, I create intricate, dense, and unique works of art. In this way, I am attempting to highlight that even the most basic structures contain universes unto themselves My goal as an artist is to explore the possibilities that lie at the limits of sounds, to truly listen to what is present within them, and absorb these intricate relationships without judgement, extending an invitation to my audience to do the same.
