Róisín Hayes (b.1996) is a Dublin based composer currently studying an undergraduate Music Degree in Trinity College Dublin, composing under Evangelia Rigaki and Linda Buckley.
Róisín has a keen interest in atmospheric, spectral and sound-mass music. Her knowledge stems from her training in the piano and flute and she has gained choral experience
singing with TCD Singers, Boydell Singers and Collegium Musicum. In the summer of 2015, Róisín attended the Irish Composition Summer School (DIT Conservatory
of Music and Drama). She worked alongside Dr. Kevin O’Connell (RIAM), Nicola LeFanu and Sadie Harrison, and composed a piece that was sung by soprano Sylvia O’Brien and accompanied
on piano by David Adams. In November 2015 Róisín composed a piece that was be premiered by the Pittsburgh Performance Innovation Ensemble in Carnegie Mellon University of Fine Arts,
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Róisín has also written a 20 minute choral sound-mass as a collaboration project with an art installation that will premiere in April 2016.
