Luke Smyth (b. 1995) is a composer from Dublin. He studied music in Trinity College Dublin specialising in composition under Dr. Evangalia Rigaki.

As a member of ICC, Luke has had works performed by ConTempo Quartet, Michelle O’Rourke, David Adams, Isabelle O’Connell and Andrew Gavin.

Luke’s work is characterised by the use of mixed media and the incorporation of incongruous material found on the internet as best exemplified in Watching some hyperbullet on lichess.org for horn, cello and video.

In 2019, …Lichess.org was selected for performance at Music Current. Luke’s piece Darkly lit for string quartet, was a winner of the 2020 West Cork Chamber Music Festival Young Composers’ Competition.
