Patrick Stephen O’Connor (1988) grew up in Cork, Ireland and first began music making in his youth with numerous local bands and musicians. In 2011 he completed his Bachelor in Music in the Cork School of Music with a first class honours focusing on Composition and Music Technology applications. In recent years Patrick has enjoyed opportunities to collaborate with renowned musicians such as Katherine Hunka of the Irish Chamber Orchestra and percussionists Noel Eccles and Alex Petcu. As part of his Masters studies Patrick has also worked closely with tutor and composer Charles Stephen Lawrence Parker as well as studying in the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz, Austria. Here he studied under the guidance of renowned composer and conductor Gerd Kühr as well interaction with other influential composers such as Georg Friedrich Haas.

Current creative endeavours include the recent completion of "Trance: In Nomine" for recorder ensemble, which was performed recently in Bloomsbury Cathedral, London; the composition of a large scale work for Viola and Piano and the completion of an orchestral work titled ‘A String Vibrates in the Mist’. In addition to this Patrick is also producing a podcast series which explores many different cultural and aesthetic aspects of classical and contemporary music. He currently lives in Vienna, Austria.!
